This is a different "Metal Mania" Mag than the other one I posted from 1987 (which was in it's 12th issue).
This is an earlier mag that had the same name, unless maybe they switched to a new "volume" and started with new issues a few years later (which I doubt).

Metal Mania 13 here is by Ron Quintana from San Francisco
(ie. Ron - ' I am starting a zine, and was thinking calling it Metallica or Metal Mania",
Lars then says "hey Ron, Metal Mania is a much better name" (without letting Ron know at that time the real reason).

The other Metal Mania you posted http://heavymetalrarities.com/forum/vie ... 94&t=24245 has Editors including Monte Conner (he runs Roadrunner Records in New York) and Don Kaye who were from the east coast and associated with Violent Noize fanzine.
