You burnt your MP3s on CDr to compose your own compilation and lateron ripped it to FLAC - is that correct?

No no, it's lossless and sounds pretty good. Compilation is excellent.

foobar won't split and play newer versions of flac,but will play flac file itself. Try winamp (install flac plug in)
