Some brutal death metal from Indiana, but with some progressive elements. They actually remind me of Withered Earth. Crunchy riffing, grinding parts, grunted deep vocals. Very inspired by Florida and NY Death Metal. I actually saw these guys live when they toured for this album. They played here in Rochester, NY. Can't remember who they toured with. Good show.

Scanned and ripped from my personal collection.

Interesting post from their ex-vocalist (copy/paste from metalarea):

"Greetings. This is my old band I sang for. Thanks for the kind words. The label we were on really rushed the whole project. Originally it was only supposed to be an EP, But the parent company Relativity didn't want an EP for our debut. We had to go back to the studio and record 3 more songs rather quickly. There is a noticeable difference between the 2 sessions. The first session tracks were Surreality, Eve of Eclipse, Divine Enlightenment and Embrace. The second session was for Dead Lights Glare, Dreading Morrow and Shell of a Being. Olympic records did a poor job on the release altogether. There were omissions in the thanks list as well as mis-titling Dreading the Morrow to Dreading the Marrow. The first session has a drier production and the second was saturated with a bit of reverb which is totally evident upon listening. I am in the process of trying to do a re-release with the album, our rehearsal demo '91 and a live show recorded in Charlotte, North Carolina from our tour in 1994 with Incantation, Anal Cunt, Morpheus Descends and Gutted. In 2017 I lost pretty much everything I owned in a storage fire. I was in the process of moving and was staying with friends for a while and got a call saying to check my storage because there had been a fire and to make sure my stuff was okay. When I got there I found out the fire was in the storage next to mine and everything I had was either burned up or water logged. Needless to say I've had to start all over again, thus why I came here to try and regain some of music that I lost. I recently took charge of the Afterlife facebook page and people have asked if a re-issue was in the works. I have WAV files for the LP and demo and am working with a friend to mix the live recording. Once I have that I will begin talking to labels to try to get it released. Hopefully by 2021 it will be available again in a 2 CD format with the extras. Cheers!"
