Around for about seven years, Charisma were an interesting specimen indeed. The group themselves weren't visual at all, although they were associated through the visual kei circuit for some reason. Charisma released a few albums and singles, but were primarily a touring band, as they toured literally nearly the entire seven years they were together. Yeah, they really took dedication to a whole new level. The sound on their first album, which was appropriately titled "First", was a nice blend of classic mid-80's heavy metal and slight post-grunge/nu metal influences inserted as well, although believe me, it is farrrrrrrrrrrr from being anything as divisive as something like Limp Bizkit, Staind or Korn. Nice, rowdy stuff that's sure to appease most of the metalheads on here!

I agree with the above author comments!! Although many modern influences creepin' into their songs, this album comes like a UNITED, late OUTRAGE mix a bit!! Pretty enjoyable affair, many thanx again for another cool Japanese metal offer R.M. CHEERS!! porosimetal

For me this album sounds as something from punk hardcore continuum mixed with rock feeling. I call such sound "rockcore".

I agree, this is typical (!!!) japanese metallic hardcorepunk 90s in the vein of Dilenma, Grave Yard etc (except the last song and some moments). This is one crew from the end of 80s to middle 90s. All these bands after break-up change the names and style from hardcore to various "rock".
Why "hard rock", lol... It's absurd.

Umm sorry man, but I think something like this is pretty different. It's definitely not as easy to identify as DILENMA.

I agree, this song sounds like "rock". I don't like this song.:) This track and last track remains the exception rather than the rule. But a lots of another songs from this album is metallic hardcore punk (2/3 album).
The second CD of Charisma more rock than hardcore (50/50).
