Here is the unreleased cd of Troy, New York's Bludgeon (check their bio for more info) which was put up for download on the bands facebook page. They also released a demo in 1992 entitled To the Head, which I don't have. If someone has it please share it.

    Band Bio

This page is dedicated to the memory of Bludgeon, for these songs are a driving-force, and deserve to be well-preserved. Bludgeon: Think Tank was recorded and mixed at Max Trax Studio in Albany, with their top-notch sound producing.

Let it be said that Bludgeon recorded some killer tracks for the CD Think Tank; and then they got the artwork ready after their CD was recorded -- however, alas, they broke up just before "Think Tank" got released, thus rendering the highly produced CD unknown for all time (to all but a handful). Therefore, these tracks are rare, super rare, for only burned copies still exist. Luckily, Chris Grennon burned several backup copies. These songs are downloadable if you're interested in something rare.

Anyhow, Bludgeon first released a 5-song cassette entitled, To the Head, as a 5 piece act, with their original vocalist, Jim Rajack, back in 1992.

Shortly afterward, in 1993, Chris Grennon was in a band called Point Blank. Funny thing is, Bludgeon opened up for Point Blank at Saratoga Winners. Bludgeon had their original vocalist, Jim, from the "To the Head" cassette, and they'd been around for over a year as this line up --- and man o man, did the band gush energy from the stage. But the band wasn't happy with their current singer Jim.
So, after a little time passed, Point Blank broke up right when Roadrunner Records was interested in signing them, and the next day Chris Grennon received a phone call from one called Chris "Nuzzy" Nusbaum, whom asked Chris to join Bludgeon.

Chris said yes without even thinking!!! Bludgeon pounded like 3D energy coming from the stage.

When Chris Grennon joined up, the chemistry was instantaneous. Bludgeon remained a 5 piece band for about the first 4 months after Chris Grennon joined; however, the 2nd guitarist, Jay Taft, left the band shortly thereafter. Then the 4-piece line-up of power heard on Think Tank came into being --- their 2nd recording, what you hear on this page.

    ON THINK TANK CD:
    Chris Grennon: lead vocals
    Chris "Nuzzy" Nusbaum: drums, percussion
    Joe Bockis: guitars
    Scott Talmon: bass

A couple months after the CD was recorded, the bass player Scott left the band, as he was also in a blues band called Blues Alley. After a couple weeks, Jay Bundy responded to Bludgeon's add: "searching for bass player," and the final line up was set. This is the line up that is in this page's pictures.

    Chris Grennon: lead vocals
    Chris "Nuzzy" Nusbaum: drums, percussion
    Joe Bockis: guitars
    Jay Bundy: bass

..A BIT ABOUT EARLIER BLUDGEON, BEFORE THINK TANK & CHRIS GRENNON:

In 1991 - Bludgeon came into being when Brian Looby (original bassist) was jamming with a drummer named Bob Morrison, and Jim Rajack singing. After a failed guitar player wasn't showing up, Joe Bockis entered the line up. Brian Looby knew Joe from high school and they worked together at Sealy Mattress. Things worked out with Joe and after a couple months Jay Taft, who Joe and Brian both were friends with, was interested in joining. Shortly after Jay joined the band (and came up with the name Bludgeon), Bob Morrison was replaced with Chris "Nuzzy" Nusbaum.

During the winter and spring of 1992, the original Bludgeon was set. In June of the same year, Brian Looby moved to Atlanta. After he left, Chuck temporarily became the bass player before Scott Talmon came home from Berkley College of Music and joined the band. Then this is the line up that led into the final one on Think Tank, when Chris Grennon (from Inner Sanctum & Point Blank) replaced Jim Rajack on vocals in late 1993 (and on into 1994).

    ENJOY!

    Chris Grennon - Vocals
    Joe Bockis - Guitar
