Good morning all. I was the bass and moog player on this. Nice to hear people still enjoying it all these years later!

    All the best

Thanks for sharing some pics Steve!
Could you by any chance help me with the complete line-up (incl instruments) for FLIGHT 77?

Ok, no problem. The core of the band went through a few name changes. The initial band started at an art college (where else) in 1979 and consisted of David Sweet on vocals, Paul Eustace on guitar and myself on bass. We quickly added a drummer, Mike Tremethick and started gigging under the name of 'Flexitoys' (which I wish we stuck with with hindsight!). Within a year we had changed the name to Flight Seven Seven and began gigging more regularly, finally moving from our native Cornwall to Bristol in 1983. The original drummer remained in Cornwall and his replacement Steve Rose then played with us from 1983 onwards. We met up with a keyboard player, Nick Arkle who began playing with us live and also provided us with a small recording studio. The name was eventually shortened to Seven Seven and we gigged under that name for a while before concentrating on recording, changing the name again to 'Love Among The Ruins'. It was during that period that my interest waned and I left in 1985.

The 'Aliens' single was very early on and I can tell you it was recorded over a two day session on 12/13th May 1982.

    Personel and equipment were:

    David Sweet - Lead vocals
Paul Eustace - Lead guitar and Roland GR300 Guitar Synth
Steve Cox - Electric Bass and Moog Prodigy
Mike Tremethick - Drums and percussion

    Guest percussionist - Blue Whiting

    Engineered by John Knight

Anything else you need to know, just ask!

    All the best!

    Thanks a lot.

Damn, "Stranger" is really insane song. Sounds like disco rock with funky bass line... this is amazing for me. Very "evening" song.
