This is Jess Cox' (of Tygers of Pan Tang fame) first and only solo album, released on the legendary Neat Records label (NEAT 1010 in their catalogue). It contains among other tracks the A-sides of his first two singles, and was presumably recorded during a long period of time, which would explain the large number of consecutive bass players and guitarists. Eventually even producer and studio engineer Keith Nichol was forced to handle the bass guitar.

Heavy metal purists are sure to cringe at the saxophone solo on the song "Two Time Loser", but the overall feel of the album is in the spirit of his two earlier singles - which is to say, a more "commercially" oriented NWOBHM.

What should be of most interest to NWOBHM fans are the tracks "Piece of the Action" and "Fallen Heroes (Everyman)", which were originally written by the NWOBHM supergroup Lionheart and featured on a demo recording of theirs from the early eighties. The rest of the songs are written by Jess Cox and/or Trevor Sewell, and fitting a Jess Cox solo album they have somewhat creative lyrics.

Jess Cox - Vocals (Lionheart, Tygers of Pan Tang, Tyger Tyger)
    Jules Jones - Bass
David "Dave" Donaldson - Bass, backing vocals (Tygers of Pan Tang, Tokyo Blade)
Dave Robson - Bass, backing vocals
Keith Nichol - Bass, backing vocals (Mantas)
    Pete Rea - Drums
John Stormont - Guitar (Battleaxe, Spartan Warrior)
    Mick Proctor - Guitar (Blitzkrieg)
Trevor Sewell - Guitar, backing vocals
    Colin Mitchet - Keyboards
    Mike Waller - Piano
    Tom Guy - Saxophone
