Suffolk based Melodic Rockers BLUE BLUD came together as a trio in late 1986 with a line-up of ex-TRESPASS members the Sutcliffe brothers and Crawte on bass. Following their cheekily titled, self financed 'Liqueur And Poker' five track EP in 1987 the band supported the TYGERS OF PAN TANG on the Geordie band's British tour that year, with Mark Sutcliffe handling lead vocals. Following the TYGERS OF PAN TANG dates BLUE BLUD took the step of adding lead vocalist Phil Kane in late 1987 and debuted this version of the group with a support slot to WHITE LION at London's Marquee.

With a new singer now in tow BLUE BLUDD set about supporting other well known acts, such as SHY, FAITH NO MORE and THE GRIP. Having signed to CHROME MOLLY's former manager Harry Cowell and securing a record deal with Music For Nations the quintet wound up supporting labelmates TIGERTAILZ on another UK tour in late 1989. These dates were followed up quickly with US Shock Rock outfit LIZZY BORDEN dates in the UK and Europe during 1990 to push the debut album 'The Big Noise' issued by Music For Nations in 1989. Following a second album for Music For Nations, 1991's 'Universal Language', BLUE BLUD, having briefly changed the spelling of the band name to BLUE BLOOD, appeared at the August 'Mildenhall Rock' festival alonside HAWKWIND, MAMA'S BOYS and MARSHALL LAW. The band opted to split in 1992 with Crawte and the Sutcliffe brothers deciding to reform TRESPASS.
