Midnight Sun is a great band with a very classic sounding AOR / Heavy metal approach. Their first 3 albums are closer to AOR and this one is heavier than the rest.

Some interesting dark approaches on some of the songs here considering that their music is typically pretty lighthearted. Some evil sounding chanting to start off the album with pipe organ synths in there. I think the standout tracks are Metal Gods, Distorted Eyes, Keeper of the Gate, and Steel to Steel. The japanese bonus track "Genesis" sounds like a eurobeat remix of the intro to Metal Gods, lol. What is up with that? So odd.
