Here's something for all of you melody-heads out there: my rip of "Valencia (ヴァレンシア)" by the amazing Japanese visual kei band Spiral Free. Now although it was indeed a visual kei band, Spiral Free's sound sounded nothing like what was coming out of the scene at the time, and instead the group had a keen eye for 80's-esqued hard rock slams and heartwarming melodies. A prime example of the contrast is evident on the tracks "[Hikari] ~Ashita e~ (「光」~明日へ~)" and "Dilemma": the former being a song with levitating croons and melodious fluff, while "Dilemma" being a crunchy, gritty biter of a track, with it also being covered in melodious streaks, especially at the bridge of the song. The epic guitar solo on "Dilemma" and brief switch-up afterwards is also quite awesome. This whole album is just classic stuff that I loved since the very first time I heard it.
