Formed in autumn 1987 in Pisz, featuring guitarists Jacek Szczepański and Bogusław Świerczewski (who also took vocal duties), bassist Piotr Glazer and drummer Sławek Charubin. They started-off as a heavy metal/melodic thrash band. Świerczewski wrote the music and lyrics for the group. In November 1988, they entered the WSP Studio in Olsztyn to record their first songs – though nothing resulted from the session. They later headed into the Domu Kultury of their home city, recording 5 songs in 2 sessions: “Świat”, “Spotkamy Się”,“Wolność”,“ In Nomine” and an homonym instrumental. They sent the songs to a band contest for qualifying the festival Metal Battle ’89 – they also did an audition for the radio program “Metal Torture”, conducted by Romek Rogowiecki in the meantime. Świerczewski tried at the time to contact Metal Mind Productions unsuccessfully. Unable to secure a record deal, Pandorra suspended its activity, doing a farewell show in June 1989 without Charubin, who had previously quit (Sławomir Sikora took drum duties on that concert).
• Following the dissolution of the band, Szczepański and Glazer formed the punk group Trep, later known as Fiu.
• Świerczewski and Sikora formed Rock Opera.
• In 2005, Pandorra reunited again for one show to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Muzycznej Sceny Miasta Pisz in their home city, featuring Świerczewski and Glazer from the original line-up only. Świerczewski’s son Kajetan and Sikora were later incorporated.
