    Notes:
Stampij (English translation is Stampede) was a radio show in the early eighties on the Dutch Radio provided by the KRO radio station which was a Catholic station!!! Broadcast-ed only once a week on Wednesdays. It was hosted by Hanneke Kappen, who at one time was the front woman of the Hard Rock band 'White Honey'. As being the DJ of the show she was immortalized in the song 'Hanneka' by Bitches Sin on their album 'Predator'.

This particular show was broadcasted on 29 July 1981.

Only one track is eluding me and that is track 12. On a side note: Hanneke had on that day a guy (Frits) in the studio who brought in the compilation album 'Heavy Metal Heroes' and according to Frits this comp was not even out in the UK. And it was already broadcast-ed in Holland! From the comp was played the Grim Reaper track and Bitches Sin.

    Enjoy!!

Me too, every week I was set to listen to the show every week :)
    Aaah Memories....

It was a great show which introduced me to a lot of new bands or new releases. I can tell ya that this show costed a lot of money, buying those albums, singles, demo's and what not. LOL Well I did it with pleasure, satisfying my Metal Hunger!

Yep, was a big fan of Stampij myself in the early 80's.

Strange thing is that the host Hanneke Kappen never really liked metal.
She sang in quite a few easy listening bands and is a chairman in conferences and
makes a carreer in personal coaching nowadays.

Interesting info shadowman. Sounds like some of the early Headbangers Ball hosts (Kevin Seal, Adam Curry).

Don't know if that is actually true. I clearly remember her year end lists for Dutch music magazine OOR did contain releases by Y&T and Raven (next to post-punk bands like The Scars, true) and prior to presenting Stampij she did sing in a heavy rock band. This tune was later covered by The Rods:

I grew up listening to Stampij. It was the best :D
