Y Diawled were a Welsh NWOBHM band whose name means "The Devils". The band's first output was for Fflach Records compilation LP in 1982 featuring the track "Shwt Mae Siapus?". The "S.O.S." single followed the following year, shortly after this vocalist Kevin Davies left, and the band recruited Rhiannon Tomos. "Noson Y Blaidd" was recorded in 1983 with Tomos on vocals, and remains their best recording.

First track is a vinyl rip from "Y Diawled / Eryr Wen / Y Ficar / Malcolm Neon" split EP (Fflach Records 1982). Y Diawled play Heavy Metal, while the other bands apply to the pop respectively ska genre.
Tracks 2 & 3 are 1982 live recordings (non single tracks).
Track 4 is a 1984 live recording of S.O.S. song (Also at their 2nd single).

I can understand a few words in Welsh... But could never understand the lyrics just by listening to it!
My favorite song from the "unreleased" Y Diawled would be "Rhyfelgri" (translates as "Battle Cry").
