I hate to be killjoy, but this is a transcode of the vpro stream, isn't it? Decoded, cut apart, tagged ... ? There are much better ways to do it (and thanks to the efforts of whoever did this, it is easy for me).

Someone can put this into a FAQ for bootleggers who want to make MPEG audio streams into separate files.

    * First, everyone can get the original stream - the band even links to it :-) (Yeah although the rules ban recordings available from the band, I guess it was never the intention to outlaw streams that the band just embed, and offer for free.)
Just go to http://www.coroner-reunion.com/ and scroll down.
Use your favourite downloader to get the stream. There is no use in capturing from the soundcard, this one is easy to grab - myself I use the (Chromium-based) Torch browser (download from here, uncheck the adware crap), it gives you a download button once the stream starts playing.

    * If you want to split it into individual tracks, use a lossless mp3 cutter. E.g. mp3directcut. That avoids transcoding!

    * Because someone has already split it (in the wrong lossy way), there is an easier way though: use the cuesheet below.
    - copy + paste into your favourite text editor (like, Notepad)
    - if appropriate change the FILE like to point at the correct file
    - save it with a .cue fileextension (e.g. Coroner2012RoadburnStream.cue) in the same directory.
    - load the cue file into your media player, and see virtual tracks appear.

    * If you do not like the single-file format, then keep your media player with the virtual tracks open for a minute, and do the following:
    - open the .cue file in mp3directcut, mark all and "save split", then they are split
    - open them in your media player alongside the "virtual" ones
    - notice that mp3directcut has likely not saved the tags. Copy them from the virtual files.

This is not transcode. Yes, I downloaded stream and used mp3directcut.

Strange - I ran it through a compare before I posted ... did you volume-normalize it?

There is a possible explanation though: the "revised" in http://content50c1a.omroep.nl/urishield ... evised.mp3

It seems a bit odd that a "revised" file should be at unadjusted volume if the first one was volume-normalized, but did you get yours before September 19th 2012?
