I saw the Vinnie Vincent Invasion play some time in the late 80's. Halfway through the set Vincent took the stage for his solo and proceeded to do his best Tony Iommi impersonation. Nothing but hammer-ons with a delay pedal. Terrible, terrible solo. I pretty much discounted him as a guitarist after that show but a friend who has good musical taste is a fan so I figured I should give this a listen.

Surprisingly I'm impressed. He really seems to have improved. His songwriting and playing are reminiscent of George Lynch (Dokken) on this. Considering that it's not even mastered, it sounds pretty damn good. I guess I need to go back and listen to the rest of his discography now.
