And they have returned to their heavy/speed metal roots! A new album is in the works. I'm so pumped!

Great news!
I heard there was a new demo out one or two years ago but never seen it posted or a band contact anywhere.

I am hoping their return will only be their early pure metal style like the video you posted, and none of the really choppy, deathy latter-era.

Nah I don't think they're going back to their death/ thrash era, at least not on this record. They played at this years KIT and someone on another forum said they were the worst band there. Lol Anyway, this new song kicks some serious ass. Can't wait to hear more.

They were quite good at KIT, in my opinion. No Death Metal Songs - just songs from first and second album.

That's good to hear. I'm just waiting for the footage to show up on youtube so I can judge their sound for myself. Their first two albums are my faves. The last one Morbid Reality is quite good for a death/thrash record and it seems to be everyone's favorite from Hexx but i'm much more of a heavy/power metal fan. Judging by this new song their new album will easily be one of my top picks for 2015.

Clint Bower is not in the band anyhow and hasn't been in Hexx (or any band period) for a while so it makes sense for them to go back to the No Escape/Under the Spell style albeit updated for the modern era to some extent.

Bay Area power thrashers Hexx will release their comeback album, entitled Wrath Of The Reaper, on September 15th via High Roller Records. [i]The cover artwork, which can be seen below, was painted by Italian artist Roberto Toderico (Sinister, Asphyx, Tygers Of Pan Tang).

The album was produced by Bart Gabriel (Crystal Viper, Burning Starr), recorded and mixed by Tim Narducci (Forbidden, Militia), and mastered by Patrick W. Engel (Destruction, Agent Steel). Wrath Of The Reaper will be available as CD, vinyl LP and digital download.

Wrath Of The Reaper showcases the band's return to their roots, and the style they are known for from their early classic albums Under The Spell and No Escape.

Hexx, led by founding member and guitarist Dan Watson,
features amazing new vocalist Eddy Vega
and Bob Wright (Brocas Helm) on second guitar.
The lineup is completed by Mike Horn (who joined Hexx in 2013) on bass guitar,
and John Shaffer (who played in Hexx between 1986 and 1995, and returned in 2014) on drums.

In 2016, Hexx released the "Tyrants Of Steel" split single (with Ruthless), and reissued their early albums Under The Spell and No Escape in the form of a 30th Anniversary 2CD/DVD box set via Metal Blade Records, and the 1991 technical epic Morbid Reality via Dark Symphonies Records.[/i]

Bay Area power thrash metal act, Hexx, will release their fifth studio album, Entangled In Sin, this summer via High Roller Records.
The effort will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital stream/download, and will include new songs such as "Power Mad", "Internal Enemy", "Strive The Grave" and "Watching Me Burn".

Like their previous release, the new album was produced and mastered by Bart Gabriel, and recorded and mixed by Tim Narducci.
The cover art is by Italian artist Roberto Toderico, who has worked with acts such as Sinister, Thanatos, and Asphyx.
