I would need to see more, like what the inside of the booklet looks like, and what the etchings are around the inside of the readable side of the disc. At first glance, it looks like a bootleg of the Pony Canyon issue. Pony Canyon booklets are always really thick with both English and Japanese lyrics included. If the booklet is thin and without the Japanese lyrics, it's more than likely a bootleg. For example, I have a Japanese Teichiku pressing of Raven's "All For One" that is legit with a really thick booklet. I also have a bootleg copy of Teichiku's Fist's "Back With A Vengeance." The Fist has virtually no booklet aside from cover art. When people make the bootlegs, they aren't going to fork over money to create a really thick booklet. Also, the numbers and letters around where the IFPI number is will tell you. The Pony Canyon issues all look similar. Boots will often just say the album title or some really generic letters. If you show me the readable side, I can compare it to my Pony Canyon CD issues.

Yeah, if it only has two pages, it may be a bootleg. Pony Canyon releases are always really thick. But as I said, I would need to see a close up of the readable part of the disc to see if the disc has an IFPI number. That will tell you a great deal about the release. The absence of one may mean it is a bootleg. For the most part though, the factory-pressed bootlegs that I have are very good. If the music is intact and it is factory-pressed, who really cares about its authenticity. The only reason to care is if you are a collector. Otherwise, it's all about the music.

It's very easy to distinguish if something is genuine cd or a bootleg by the number in cd inner circle (near the centre ring). Scan that

My most recent Krescendo purchases have been A II Z - Witch of Berkeley, Sword - Metalized, Gaskin - End of the World and Loudness - Law of Devil's Land, all of which have sounded awful, so based on the probability that this one will also sound like a fart in a dustbin, it looks like I'll be giving this one a miss...

I have the Krescendo version of Gaskin - End of the World as well. But to be honest almost every version of this album I have listened to has sounded the same. The only difference I have noticed between that and the recent release on Rubicon music is the Rubicon version is more brickwalled. The best sounding versions I have heard from this album are two tracks which appeared on a compilation. I have a 2 cd various artists compilation called 'Rock Out' and it features the tracks 'End of the World' and 'Burning Alive' and they sound better than all the other versions I have heard.

If you want a decent version of Gaskin's 'End Of The World' on CD, you should try and track down the 1992 Pony Canyon release. No brickwalling and decent sound, plus it also has the single versions of "I'm No Fool" and "Sweet Dream Maker" as bonus tracks. I have the original Rondelet LP from 1981, but for those without a turntable the 1992 Pony Canyon version is the one to seek out.

Regarding Majestic Rock/Krescendo & their somewhat murky dealings & often dodgy sound, they were also known previously as Zoom Club Records and latterly as Mischief Music. I have a few of their releases from their various incarnations & the quality of the sound can vary wildly.
My Zoom Club edition of the Paris S/T is clearly a vinyl rip, yet 'A Diamond Is A Hard Rock' by Legs Diamond on the same label sounds great.
The S/T Marcus CD on Krescendo sounds okay to me, as does the Zoom Club Bedlam S/T album, whilst the ZC version of Stray Dog's 'While You're Down There' unfortunately sounds pretty wishy-washy as if taken from a low quality source.
Knowing their previous track record of carrying on under different names, it seems unlikely that the people behind these labels gave it up after Mischief Music in 2014/15. Does anyone know if they've reappreared yet again under another different name?
This company may also have a connection to the others, but i don't know for sure:

Perhaps we should open up a separate thread to give each other a thumbs up or down about the various releases from this particular family of labels?

Phoenix Records is selling the Chainsaw "Police And Politicians" 7 inches for 50 bucks a piece! Granted the vinyl is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but WHY would I pay $50 for a 2 song 7 inch bootleg when I can get the original pressing ON EBAY for less than $10!!! And shipping from the U.K. INCLUDED!!! Crazy man.

I think the "label" folded, but Omerta Records sucked bull's balls. They printed on black CD-R's that never lasted the test of time.
