Don't know if this really counts as 'hidden' or if i'm just not very observant, but after many years i finally spotted the face of RIOT's mascot 'Tior' recently in the moon on the front cover of 'Restless Breed'.

agree... these covers can't be categorized as one with 'hidden' message. But I find those examples cool... It made me remember about one of my favorite covers when I was only 11 years old...
I spent hours looking at the original cover from my new CD and even made some drawings myself (I was young! :D)

it must be the cover with the most 'hidden' messages out there; I remember there were even some articles in magazines at that time speaking about it... you can even find some web-pages still talking about it.....

Great ! So, let's keep it that way, more like Easter Eggs than hidden messages.
Another great one is Obsession - Scarred for life, the city lights forms the name ELLEN which was Ioannis's, the artist of the painting, girlfriend according to his webpage. The original colors were much more brighter than the final edit so the city lights weren't so visible.

Every Iron Maiden cover art has hidden stuff, most common is the reaper but also some funny stuff. It could be great if we can share them all !

Iron Maiden have often hidden messages in their covers, i remember the Twilight Zone cover with Mickey Mouse behind Eddie's portrait:

^ I see two metal references in the cover art. Is there more?

I figure it's things like the skull on the table, the picture over the guy's shoulder and stuff like that. But I don't recognise them as specific band references.

In the IRON SLAUGHT album cover, see references to Evil Dead (the film), Judas Priest, Manilla Road, Sortilege, Iron Maiden... Anything else? The ram's skull makes me think of S.A. Slayer?

The half naked man in the tablecloth is a tribute to Manowar and the coffee cup a tribute to Dave Ellefson (and everyone else who makes coffee these days).

I even tried searching google for answers but still only came up with KD and Maiden. I've definitely failed this test :(
