It's hard to pick one favorite, because every albums of Judas Priest is suberb, but I guess for me it would be "Defenders Of The Faith" or "Painkiller". Hard to decide...

I've gotta go with Stained Class. It's dark, haunting and ahead of its time. I still haven't heard another album that sounds like it. I'd rank it as the best heavy metal album ever recorded.

I think that would be Sin After Sin. I love it's laid back atmosphere. (and especially the vocal effects on the space-part of "Sinner")

Yes, Painkiller is a very strong album...So many fine Metal albums came out in 1990 but I'm not going to go into that this about Priest..

For my favorite it's a draw between Hell Bent For Leather and British Steel for me...

Added a poll to this topic, hope I didn't forgot any of the albums.
My favorites has to be 'Screaming for Vengeance ' 'Sad Wings..' , 'British Steel' and 'Painkiller'.
Impossible to favorite only one of those..

not an easy task choose one... Unleashed in the East have the best tracklist, but it's not a studio album..(and i know, it's not fully live) the best live is 1988- San Diego- Burning up the Night bootleg:) the best studio album ... maybe Defenders but in a tie with Painkiller:D

Now this is tough one!

I love British Steel, Screaming For Vengeance, Painkiller, Hell Bent, and Defenders.. with Stained Class and Sad Wings coming right after. At least that's how I feel at the moment.

But I'm gonna go with Hell Bent For Leather because it features my favorite Priest style generally! Although some albums might pack up few more awesome songs than Hell Bent - being bit more consistant - it's still my choice.

Well,I saw a cover of Defenders Of The Faith in the back of Metal Mag early 80s.I was 13 or 14 years old.I went to the record store and said to the owner do you have it?,he said let me check and the cassette appears in front of me.I listened 20 times that day.I was in the Fastway,Picture,Plasmatics,Hannover,Raven,Zeno veins. This album changed my lifestyle in HEAVY METAL WORLD.

I'll be a bit of a bore and say Painkiller is their best. It's really hard to say no to this album when it's nothing but in-your-face metal for the whole record. When starting off the title track, you just know you're in for music that defines the genre as a whole. The awesomeness doesn't decline anywhere in between the start and finish. Absolutely glorious metal throughout!
