One of the neatest artwork I have seen been put on a sleeve is:

Without a shadow of a doubt, I'd say : FATES WARNING - Awaken the guardian
The sleeve is of the same supreme beauty as the musical content. The absolute masterpiece of Ionannis / Third Degree and they've done a lot of firstclass artwork.
Although, I must admit, the artwork on the innersleeve (Bag which contains the LP) is even better.

Puh, this is a really hard decision but I think the following are one of my favorites:

I don't know how many hours I spend to check up all the details when I bought this record in 1981

Dragons rules

I was stupid enough and insane to sell this vinyl jewel a few years ago (viking) - this cover painting was mindblowing!!!

"Killers" was the first album I ever had on vinyl and I truly understand why you included the artwork as a favorite here. It's a "KILLER"!

Samson's boobie cover are nice looking at to!

Speaking about dragons.. the artwork for ZEN VENOM are pretty awesome IMO!

Oh yeah it is, I still remember that I bought this Vinyl from Joe Pangallo (totally overpriced at this time and I didn't know that he bought the remaing stock of Vinyls from the band just for peanuts), because it had this brilliant cover artwork...btw, the music is not as bad, but it's not a real metal classic!!!

Joe Pangallo - that's a name from the past! Whatever happened to that guy? In the 90s I bought quite a bit of vinyl from him, all of it overpriced. I had a very limited income at the time and my bank account was zero (literally, I'm not joking) thanks to him and Al Spremo and a few other sellers like these ... one guy that was much cooler was John Allison in NC, wonder what happened to him as well - a long time ago he told me he was writing a book about NWOBHM, but never heard anything from him since ...

Witchcross, I am not sure if Joe P. is still active in selling his overpriced stuff, but I guess he is. I got his last list a few years ago, again with some really awesome rarities...but this man is also know for a lot of rip offs he did. I know a lot of collectors which would like to (horse) this man. He promised lot of rarities which he lately didn't send or send any other instead of the wants. So I can speak only for myself, the deals with Joe going quite well (ZEN VENOM, SALEM'S WYCH, did not remember the others...it was somewere in 2001 or 2002 (hmm) )...

In my opinion the best cover of all times :
Savage 'Loose 'n Lethal'...

Brilliant album as well.
I own the vinyl and it was the cover that convinced me to do the purchase...

That's very interesting that he's been around this long. I haven't heard his name since the mid-90s, which is the last time I bought from him. My experience was that he always delivered what he promised, although I spent a bit of money on phone bills with him a few times, because there were a few things we didn't agree on. But always in the end, he sent what I paid him for. That he's overpriced and I bought, is my fault, and so I can't blame him for that.

He always had very nice items, that's for sure, it was so tempting, ha ha. And he was a smooth-talker, he would call you up and dangle new rarities in front of you until you couldn't stand it any more, ha ha - the dealer talking to the junkie!

But I can't say a bad word against him in terms of ripping-off (other than high prices, which is the buyers fault too).

Obviously the Cirith Ungol album covers are incredible, along with a few of The Gates Of Slumber (Suffer No Guilt especially).
I always had a soft spot for Ed Repka. Probably a mix of his style and nostalgia. (Solstice - S/T USA '92 is great!)

I find worst album covers just as interesting;

I love the Crystal Knight artwork! It's an ancient feeling over it, the logo are incredible as well! just perfect.
I've always wondered how their demo-cassette looked like!

Two other I really like. Yet the WITCH CROSS LP would have looked more awesome if they had skipped the blue frame thing and concentrated on the middle pic instead (boobies and flying werewolvebats.. (cheers2) )

I've been in contact with him for a few deals back in 2002 if I well remember, I've got the Malibu Barbi's EP from him and others stuff I don't remember. He never rip me off but I've been in contact not so long. Never heard his name since.....
