Had to share these pictures of Toki from Aldious and K-A-Z from Raglaia. Has to be at least 14-16 inches of height difference.

My latest purchase, Zodiac - First (1990):

http://www.metal-archives.com/images/1/1/3/4/113480.jpg?3921

I'll share it here as soon as it arrives. Okinawan bands are really unique in that they have very, very good English compared to mainland Japanese groups. It's Murasaki's drummer's other band.

Recently, I've been listening to Rommel a lot. Digging their demos again. Shus work on the solos is great.

This will be seen as shallow, but I bet any band that put porn star Hitomi Tanaka on their album cover would probably sell a LOT of copies.

Guys... Tilt has just hit the studio to record their first album in over 22 years. I'm completely stoked, I feel like they're going to make heavy metal again, versus the hard rock of their last few albums. All they've been playing at their live performances since reforming has been their metal stuff. All aboard the hype train.

Meh. Now if they put Sora Aoi on the cover, they'd have my attention.

Good stuff! There's very little Korean metal on this forum currently, come to think of it. Do you know of any rare old Korean metal?

As for Metal from South Korea, I really liked Sinawe.

Sounded really old school, even back in the day.

Wow super cool stuff KJ and Dejv, I'm digging through Korean metal bands now, Sinawe is my favorite so far, it's a shame some of these are so hard to find. I'm definitely going to end up requesting a couple here on the forum.

Also, I wonder why South Korea hasn't picked up on the female fronted heavy metal and hard rock yet, while Japan already has to a huge extent. With all the K-pop, you'd think more bands would be inclined to try the idea out.

Female vocalists
Jaurim(Pop Rock)
Krypteria(German band has a Korean vocalist)
Cherry Filter(Punk)

Some Sinawe albums
#1 Heavy metal Sinawe
#2 Down and Up
"Over the rainbow" from #3 Freeman

And The songs that Deja Vu linked featured on 4th album called "Four"
After 4th album, they changed their style as alternative rock.

@KJ

Thank you for the links. I couldn't find the full albums(haven't been looking at them too hard also :P). I'm also looking for the 4th album. So far of what I heard, that album sounds the most killer.

@TadakatsuH0nda

I agree with you. My favourite has to be Tears of Tragedy, female fronted neoclassical power metal.

Btw, anyone into Tokyo Yankees? Recently, I've got their 4th album, and I can't put it down. It's great and catchy speedy/heavy rock n' roll.

I liked Do the Dirty, the only newer song I really became familiar with by them was Preemptive Strike, I gotta try some more by them.

I couldn't find full-album of Sinawe from 3rd one either.
You can use these Korea alphabets for searching further information, I guess.
시나위
It means Sinawe in Korean.

I've never heard of Tokyo Yankees before.
I speak Japanese. So I can hear what the vocalist says.
He talks like a punk, cool.

It seems Rami has disbanded Raglaia and will start a "solo" project this year. i dislike this term because unless you are a one-man band no one is truly solo.

It makes sense, though that she does this. She made very little effort with Raglaia. The tour was a whopping 3 dates. She used musicians who had other bands, not musicians dedicated to the band itself.

Hopefully she will make more of an effort with this solo project.

I hope she does. Solo projects bring out the best or worst about any single musician's ability, should be interesting seeing what she's got in terms of writing all her music, I wonder who her band will include. :o

Well she needs dedicated people. I said this on the other board. I never took Raglaia seriously because K-A-Z had SADS, Ery had KillsKills and Youth-K had something. She needs a full time, all-in band like she had with Aldious.

And she needs a songwriting partner on par with Yoshi bad. The Creation album was so inconsistent.

I would love if she teamed up with someone like Eita since she doesn't have a consistent band at the moment either, with Seven Seas only performing together once every month or two, and Takae passing away. She seems like a guitarist that could compliment Rami very well in a metal band, and I'm fairly sure they at least know each other.

I am sorry for the delay in my response.
I didn't notice the page was jumped.
I thought the topic was stopped on the first page.
However, The link is not working, man.

As far as I know, five Fingers is a pop-rock band.
1st Album
Check this out.

I don't know much about them.
And the information is extremely hard to get from the internet.
When the band was formed, they were all collegians.
From mid '80s to early '90, they released 5 albums.
I know it's not enough.

Other bands
Yim Jae-bum and Asiana
Beakdoosan
Black Syndrome
Method
Vassline
Jeremy
Zihard
Diablo
Schizo
Silent Eye

(I kinda like some bands from this list, but not all.)

Thanks for the info KJ, it appears the discussion in the thread I was referencing was noticed by Azmodes and he in turn removed the band from the Metal Archives.

Well looks like Exist Trace have shrugged off their old style for good.

Ugh Exist Trace used to be so much better, at least to me. It's not bad per se, but it's definitely not the style that comes to mind when I think Exist Trace, who knows it might grow on me slowly.

Hey, guys.
This man isn't a musician that I love, not from far east either.
However, check this out.

Arakana by Darkkey

This video was popular in Korea, about ten years ago.
He's a Malaysian, does samba-rock which he invented...
I have no other information about him.
Sorry.
