My Top-3 ( with big gap from others ) are
David Byron ( Ur Heep)
Rob Halford
Eric Adams ( Manowar )

Also i veeery like an epic and dramatic voice of Eric Clayton from Saviour Machine.

From not-heavy singers i like Peter Hammill of VanDerGraaf Generator.
Especially his performance in own Rock-opera The Fall Of The House Of Usher ( 1991 edition- not 2001 ). That's really dark and horror.

Well, I can think of these right now:
David DeFeis (Virgin Steele)
Michele Luppi (ex-Vision Divine, Killing Touch, Mr. Pig, also some solo projects but AOR style))
Michael Robert Rhein (aka Das letzte Einhorn) (In Extremo; not an excelent singer, but like someone said some posts ago, he has a voice with character)
Lemmy (Motorhear)

And when it comes to female vocalist
Doro (Doro)
Federica DeBoni (White Skull; again, not an excelent singer but has a caracter)

Ronnie James Dio (It really seems like we're going to be mourning the "Keeper Of The Rainbow" forevermore, which is why most of us have Ronnie at the top of our list. Looking back it just seems more and more that this guy singlehandedly CREATED Metal while no one was watching! He was always there, successful as a Rock 'n' Roll singer since the 50's. How to even begin to describe the range and power of his voice, his almost-invincible vocal prowess even after years and thousands of gigs...His ingenious lyrics and irreplaceable musical vision...I'm Still Sad...But enlightened thanks to Ronnie's art). Rest In Peace my spirit brother.

Rob Halford (I'll usually say that Rob has the final say on all of Metal vocalizing...Unbeatable, what more can I say?)
Al Atkins (It's wonderful even so many years later to discover the singer and songwriter who founded Judas Priest! What an accomplished songwriter [Victim Of Changes, Dreamer Deceiver, Never Satisfied, Caviar and Meths were written with Atkins], and what an incredibly powerful, Blues-rich barnstormer of a voice! He influenced my own singing instantly, was only familiarized with his work about 2 years ago, but have been addicted ever since!)

King Diamond (He's inspired me on such an unrelenting basis over such a long period of time, truly a visionary like Ronnie but such a unique character who really can't be compared with anyone. He's pushed me all these years to even begin to conceive as to how he can so accurately and consistently hit perhaps the highest ranges a man could ever be capable of, while schizophrenically going deep guttural, to spooky mid-range, and all sorts of demonic voices, with so many incredibly complex and original vocal harmonies and progressions...What a unique voice, what a once-in-a-lifetime artist. So glad he will now finally be returning to the stage!)

Paul Di'anno (I'm a Di'anno man, as awesome as Juicy Bruce will always be, Di'anno just has one of the greatest Metal voices ever, truly a diabolical gem of a voice, and no one can ever hope to imitate it. One show only and it's with Di'anno!)

Harry Harrison (Witchfynde, Savage/Rebel, Fynders Keepers)
Luther Beltz (Witchfynde, Wytchfynde, Krusade)
Steve Bridges (Witchfynde) - YES - I LIKE WITCHFYNDE!!! Bridges may have been the technically-weakest of the three and yet no one has been able to do the blood-curdling scream in the chorus of "Give 'Em Hell" like his original ever since! He had a lot of personality! Quite the amusing dude really. Heard he just did an interview about the old Witchfynde days for Classic Rock Magazine. Can't find it online, guess I'll have to keep an out for it!)

Phil Mogg (UFO really blows my mind, as does Mogg's Blues-sourced Rock-Hard vocals and incredibly insightful lyrics. Perhaps the Dylan Thomas of Hard Rock/Metal?)

Paul Stanley
Gene Simmons (perhaps one of the greatest alongside Alice Cooper for absolutely guttural nuclear-strength baritone-raunch vocals! He did nail his own style vocally for sure)
Peter Criss (truly one of the most underrated musicians in Rock - if you like a heavy, soulful, Rockin' Blues voice that sometimes goes out of control (no pun intended lol), Criss is the man, and he could sing and play drums so effortlessly at the same time! Both in his vocals and drumming the guy has more style in his little finger than most musicians will have working with a smorgasboard of more conventional, modern, and flashy chops...Eric Singer being a prime example lol, great though he is. He neither has the voice, personality, or classic drumming chops, as Criss really absorbed the lessons he took from his idol, Jazz great and legendary drummer and big band leader Gene Krupa. I'm sure Krupa's influence played a large part in Peter Criss' comprehensive background in American music, let's face it - if you can sing great while playing killer drums, establish yourself as a major league songwriter, while incorporating a number of musical styles into your own...You fucking know music!)

Sean Harris (Diamond Head - how does anyone hold a sustained power-drive of a note as long as the introduction to "Lightning To The Nations"? I think only Harris knows!)

Geddy Lee

David Byron
Bernie Shaw (absolutely amazing vocalist and all-around musician, he truly has injected life into one of the most enduring bands in Rock history, Uriah Heep, and continues to maintain it! He's got quite a few years on me and I wonder where does he get his energy from??? It would be tough to keep up with this guy on stage! I'm sorry I'm not qualified to comment on John Lawton, obviously an incredible vocalist, basically because the entire Lawton-era Heep catalogue was out of print in Canada for many years, and I just haven't heard enough of it to this day. Additionally I've seen Heep perform with Pete Goalby, an awesome vocalist as well, definitely.)

Bobby Liebling (Pentagram-U.S.) - (the unsung hero of Doom! The guy just has so much personality in his voice, he is instantly recognizable, which is the mark of a great vocalist. A truly nefarious and mysterious character ruling the Underworld of uncompromising independent Metal!)

Eric Adams (I'm not the biggest Manowar fan, but Eric Adams is such a prodigy and incredibly powerful and accurate singer that it is sometimes almost unbelievable...)

David DeFeis (Virgin Steele - what a range! A bit of a prat though LOL)

Frank Dimino (Angel-U.S.) - (another incredible range, when I've attempted to sing Angel's classic 70's Hard Rock songs, I simply can't sustain or even reach Dimino's high and yet effortless-sounding top range, which is a constant throughout all the Angel material...You'd never notice, because it just came so naturally to him. But it really is beyond the reach of the vast majority of vocalists. By today, his voice has deepened with age, and no longer has the range he once did, such is life).

Alice Cooper

And many more I've forgotten I'm sure!
