Metallic Attack sounds like it could be very interesting to hear more about!
What kinda music was aired? demo bands or more well-known bands?

Any digitalized recordings from the show?

Im also from MN, Roseville - I am an ex-Implaler member...

By any chance do you have a cd of the band G.I.V.E ? It was Dale Steele's band in the 90's, the band turned into Two Ton Crutch, and Dale formed Numm - He now sings in F5 w/ Dave Eleefson.
I have the Numm stuff, as well Coup De Grace, and WITH

I think I posted most at Thrashmageddon, before I got banned, or at Lockjaw-

Welcome mate! Didn't know you where a ex-Impaler member, cool to hear!

I wish I could help you with the request but I don't have the CD or rip to bad :(,

I recommend you to add it to the request section, it will be easier to keep track of there:

Thanks for the welcome guys! (thanks)

Well, Metallic Attack was one of the very first radio shows in Belgium that focussed more
on the underground part of metal.
Most hardrock radio shows (although they were very few in number around that time, 84 , 85) only played
the mainstream hardrock bands such as Van Halen, Def Leppard, Saxon, Whitesnake, and so on.

The main reason why I started Metallic Attack was to air lesser known bands and music styles.
It was a very exciting time for metalheads...
Thrash metal was just getting started, (Slayer, Exodus, Anthrax...) black metal was still very young, (Venom only just made Black Metal) Power Metal was born around that time.

In order not to scare away everyone by playing ONLY underground stuff I decided to make a nice mixture between the more popular metal/hardrock music and the stuff I preferred the most.

To give you an idea, this was the tracklisting for the very first show :

Slayer: Chemical Warfare, G-Force: Rockin' and Rollin', Metal Church: Metal Church,
Hellhammer: Massacra, Exciter: Under Attack, Motörhead: Back at the funny farm, Grave Digger, Witch hunter, Voïvod: Suck your bone, Tank: That's what dreams are made of, Warning: Cine Regard, Jaguar: Prisoner, Black Sabbath: Lonely is the world.

I still have some cassettes lying around from that time but how the hell do I digitalize that stuff???

(hmm)

Many good choices in that tracklist, I would just be happy if any of these songs was aired on the radio today.
Digitalize cassettes are not so hard if you have the correcet equipment.. there are many guides around the net

At last I've got around to introducing myself on the Forum. Séamus here - also known as thunderandlightning after the last studio album by Ireland's greatest band, the mighty Thin Lizzy (also the first CD I bought). Hail from sunny (at the moment!) Dublin. Good idea, this forum (metal2)
