Since I have not posted in this thread, what to say:

I used to snatch a file every now and then from the Strappado blog. Like, I guess, lots of others here, I am hoarding too much stuff I don't really listen to. It often gets too much, even when it isn't physical format, so I did for long resist the temptation to register here. Finally gave in.

Apart from that, I am a semi-old fart who once upon a time wrote for a (locally influential paper) metal mag. Yeah, you'd be surprised to know how many metal 'zines there were in the Vatican in the days before the internet ... just kidding. Proghead, doomkopf, headbanger in no and any order, who thinks that the "true metal" label is a misnomer (it should be seventies worship more than eighties).

Vile Ent has mostly been away for many years, so I will re-introduce myself and update things. I'm a producer and musician living in Canada. I've used the stage name Vile Ent for 17 years, but my given name is Graham MacSkimming. It was nice to find a Metal Archives entry on me, which I will be updating over time. http://www.metal-archives.com/artists/G ... ing/121808 Just started a Soundcloud site featuring highlights of my career, including Ligeia (CAN), Infernal Majesty, Vile Ent, Bates Motel, and tons of other great stuff!

https://soundcloud.com/user-540662411

The remastered first Ligeia (CAN) demo (1986) will be released commercially this year. It includes Ligeia's version of "Alison Hell", the famous Annihilator track (Ligeia included two former Annihilator members, John Bates and Dave Scott). Vile Ent's "Morning Wood" will also be released commercially this year (Industrial/Electronic/Metal). Shortly I will release the first official mix of "Deceived" featuring NWOBHM legend Harry Harrison on guitar and keys (Night Vision, Witchfynde, Savage, Fynders Keepers).

I hope to be uploading some rare releases here too and thanks to all for being here.

Dear Mr.Vile Ent, we are here to check your credentials,

what kind of hockey stick have you used?
did you tape it?
did you attach a plastic blade?

Who was better? Sittler, or Gilmour ?
Whats did you think of the movies shown at the Ontario Place Cinesphere ?
and
Who was Alan Ashby?

what kind of hockey stick have you used? CCM lol
did you tape it? yes
did you attach a plastic blade? there was talk of this but I couldn't bear it; Vile Ent is a "wood-only" player
Who was better? Sittler, or Gilmour ? Sittler
Whats did you think of the movies shown at the Ontario Place Cinesphere ? They were very intellectual and certainly eye-popping.
Who was Alan Ashby? FAIL haha!

These are acceptable answers, everybody bought CCM sticks , especially from Home Hardware, and nobody remembers Alan Ashby playing for the Blue Jays, but that's alright.
Nobody thought the jays would last into the 1980s.
and only super hot-shot schoolyard players that wore their plastic blades to a knife-thin layer that could balance a tennis ball on the tip used that shit. I still hate those guys, I always had to go home when it got dark.
I will help you in your endeavors.
Please do not frequent Hastings Street, I did not particularly like that place when I rode by there over 15 years ago (maybe before that)...
:)

Hi I'm an old metal head from New Zealand looking for some rare old school metal similar to what I was into when I first got into metal. Feels like this is the right place!

Hi all. Stopped by at Takada's invite. Gonna lurk a bit while checking out the threads. I like a little bit of everything, except maybe djent. But I never say never. I've found something to like in pretty much everything.

Hey welcome! We're having some issues with the search flood limit right now, if you end up browsing around, the A-Z menu works fine still a few icons to the right of your username.
