I haven't been on a forum since middle school. Is there still rules against necroposting?

I see a lot of awesome old releases in threads with 0 replies. Will you guys get mad seeing me post "oh wow, look at this awesome facemelter" in a thread that has been dead since 2013?

Thanks for having me guys. I can't wait to find more rare DOOM and SPEED.

I'm still developing my tastes for most other genres.

EDIT: Found the necroposters. They have bad reputations o.o

Good. That saves everyone's time.
Too many people join forums without first reading the rules, and assume it is like all other forums.

This section on top is where you can post and talk about whatever:
General Metal Discussions
Band / Record Questions
Metal News / Promotion
Trading
Reviews
Off Topic

Nobody wants to see useless posts in the download section.

AFTER someone has given points to see the link and downloaded, and has something relevant to say:
facts about the release, about the band, the sound quality, etc.,
that is more than welcome.

Wow! What a site.

Googling for albums from Martin Popoff's Collector's Guide to Heavy Metal, Vol. 1 The Seventies brought me here. Finch's Thunderbird, to be specific. And then started looking around and found some early Death Metal compilations I'd been looking for.

Thanks to all who make this place possible.

tygerhead wrote:As we added to our musical tastes I started hunting for more and more obscure bands. I loved demo tapes, John didn't. He'd prefer the 600 overdubs on Bohemian Rhapsody, so production quality was a big deal for him. But for me it was always the music that mattered.

I still see these complaints all over the place, and frankly, it surprises me. Maybe because I am the person who at one time listened things on anything, I don't know. Although, of course, now I would prefer better equipment anyway than something with a sound like an from empty barrel, but that's not the point.

I understand when the recording is frankly raw, but most of the time it looks like these people are listening to the mix, not the music itself.

Cheers mates! This forum is nearly dead but I've been using it for downloads and recommendations for years and a buddy reminded me it existed, so I fired up a new account and figured I'd participate for once.

I'm a heavy metal fan from Seattle, WA (originally from Los Angeles); I play in too many bands, run a small record label, and run a fanzine, most of that focused on heavy metal and death metal. Hail and kill buds!

I'm Tony. Started collecting metal in the mid 80s.

Mainly focused on Christian and positive bands.

As I got older, my taste broadened, but still metal is my fav.

Some bands I like: Sleeping Giant, Stryper, King's X, Mass, Trouble, Barren Cross, Etc.

I did a mag for several years called Mass Histeria Magazine...never sold many at all and went in debt, but don't regret it...I stopped doing it in 2008 when I got remarried.

Seen the following bands live: Stryper, Mass, King's X, Galactic Cowboys, Guardian, Whitecross, Barren Cross, Sacred Warrior, Seriah, Deliverance, Skillet, Project 86, P.O.D., Cinderella, Lizzy Borden, Messiah Prophet, Bloodgood, Petra, Overkill, Meliah Rage, Rez Band, New York Dolls, Bride, Hoi Poloi, Family Force 5, Disciple, Mars Hill, etc.

Bands I missed live and would jump in a time machine to see: Saint, Vengeance Rising, Mortification, Believer, Sleeping Giant, David Wayne, Etc.

Hello everyone! My name is Lucas Yoshiyuki, and I'm here to share a relaxed chat about music. I'm a Brazilian bassist and piano enthusiast, passionate about the world of rock and metal.

When it comes to music genres, Power Metal holds a special place in my heart. The energy, exciting riffs, and epic lyrics of this style are a constant source of inspiration for me. The combination of captivating melodies and virtuosic performances in this genre truly fascinates me.

Currently, I have a Power Metal band called Valk.

However, my passion for rock and metal extends beyond Power Metal alone. I find inspiration in all the branches of these music genres. Classic rock, with its distinctive guitars and incredible solos, evokes a sense of nostalgia for me.

As a bassist, I admire and seek influences from great figures in the instrument. Steve Harris from Iron Maiden is one of my biggest idols. His ability to create powerful and melodic bass lines is truly inspiring. Additionally, I am also captivated by the techniques of bassists like Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Geddy Lee from Rush. They have a unique and innovative approach that pushes the boundaries of the instrument.

Speaking of the piano, this instrument captivates me in various ways. It allows me to explore melody and harmony in a more complete manner. I am fascinated by virtuoso pianists like Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater and Yanni, who combine technical proficiency with captivating emotional expression.

Apart from music, I am also a language enthusiast. I speak English, German, and have an interest in Japanese and French. This linguistic passion also influences my musical appreciation. Exploring music in different languages allows me to discover new artists and immerse myself in different musical cultures.

The forum rules viewtopic.php?f=123&t=198
says we should use MEGA.NZ or Mediafire , but many of us use alternate sites.

To better keep your uploads from getting killed, do not use full album.band names when you zip or WinRar the folder.

Greetings, metalheads. I'm Alessandro, but you can call me Alex.

I reside in Canada. I have Italian and Irish blood. I am also Autistic.

I have been collecting music for as long as I can remember, both old and new, especially metal and classic rock. It's been a tradition I've been doing since I was a teenager. Me and my dad watched plenty of MTV together alone in the living room, and searched for tunes on BearShare. As of right now, I have over 3500 tunes in my library.

I found out about this forum through Strappado's YouTube channel, which got taken down (YouTube... more like YouSUCK), and it's a crying shame because that's where I always get my obscure metal fill. I joined this forum because I didn't want to be left hanging.

Other interests: Sleeping a lot, Lego, Comics (especially Harley Quinn), walking in nice summer weather, and as mentioned before, music collecting.
