---------------------------------------------------------------------
8th album released in 1976 and features Renate Knaup (ex-Amon Duul II) doing some amazing vocals.
Popol Vuh is a hard band to categorize because each album is a bit different though each fall under the banner of Prog. Earlier works have a more Krautrock feel, others more symphonic or even ethnic flavors (meditative/ritualistic type) and acoustic passages. They are also brilliant Symphonic prog and this album features vocalist Renate Knaup on some songs and those are the best tracks. They released many great albums but this is one of my personal favorites. Any of their '70's albums is great. Great music many of which sound like musical mantras. A great place to start with this band.
